Biography

It began as a fun thing to do, and a passion for music of course. Robert, the founder of the band, and the only original member remaining from the start in 1998, picked up a guitar, and started to jam at home. He did not know how the piece of wood really worked, but had figuerd a chord or two out, and got it to sound. The same ´day he got his first guitar, was the same day he got his first member in the band, Anders Berg. Berg was a drummer, a really good one already then at that age. They began playing the blues, coz they just needed 3 chords. But very soon they got their first bas player, and lead vocalist. They named themselves, The Spineless.

Many years went by, lots of members we're changed, by lots of different reasons. The Spineless startpoint, was a festival in the hometown Halmstad, were they played three nights, and four gigs. At the same time they released their first full lenght album, in 2003. The album called "Running Around In Circles" struck the audience with positiv response. Just after the release of the album, they changed their keyboard player, to Lars Fredman (formarly Jönsson). So the band had made a name for themselves. The years went on, with lots of gigs and good performances. Then in 2005 they got called in, for making a gig at a big Free Radio channel Festival, called "Rix FM festival". The same year they got the call from a big swedish arist, called Money Brother, to be his support band.

From 2005 up to 2008, they had some bigger problems with members, not being reliable, and not working for the music. They seemed to find only the worst people for the band all the time. But in 2007, they found their guitarist David Winde on rhythm guitar, he seemed to fill up the missing spot for the band. In 2008 they went in to the studio, in early januari, to record their 6th album. The album contained 10 songs, with some guest artist, like Bernt Andersson on saxophone. They released the album 28th of november 2008, called "These Past Ten Years", an anniversary titel, coz the band been around for 10years. April 2009 they got Adam Winde on bass, filling up that spot really good.

They went on a tour for the album in 2009, and got so good response for the album, that they got the idéa to do songs for the first time in 12 years, as an acoustic show. Autumn 2009, they went out for a acoustic show, doing some old songs they haven't played for years, and some new stuff. They played live on some radio shows before the big night. In august 2009, the band got complete, with Mikael Ek on drums.

At the acoustic shows, you could see and hear a guest artist, Filippa Westerberg on Cello, she played everytime with pure magic. The acoustic show went so good, and the show was sold out, the audience loved it. They got some questions if the songs are avaliable on a CD, but they weren't. Then in it struck Robert, why not give the people an acoustic record. So they decided in early january 2010, that they are going to record their new album, in their new and finished recording studio. The album is due to release in may 2010.
